Breaking Dawn bash at West Allis Public Library

The West Allis Public Library will be hosting a party Thursday November 17th for the release of Breaking Dawn. You will need to sign up to get a ticket for this event. Tickets are free, but all of the Twilight series events in the past have sold out, so stop in at the West Allis Library to sign up for your ticket!

Book Club book for November

The Central Book Club selection for November is Fool Moon by Jim Butcher.  This is the second book in the Harry Dresden series, we read the first book, Storm Front, last spring.

Remember, we have WKCE testing the first week of November, so book club will meet Thursday Nov, 10th in the IMC during CAP.  See you there!

Author Simone Elkeles visits Central

Simone Elkeles, author of the Perfect Chemistry series visited Central and spoke to a group of students in the IMC. 

Simone shared trailers for a number of her books.  You can check them out at her website here:
  Simone's homepage  The front page right now has a booktrailer for Chain Reaction, but you can see trailers for all three of the Perfect Chemistry books as well as a rap video for Perfect Chemistry.  We have new additional copies of all of Simone's books in the IMC, stop in and check one out!

Hunger Games Movie Poster

The studio has released an animated movie poster that has been released.  You can see it here:

It may take a little while to load and it has sound!  I'm very interested to see what they do with adapting this book to the screen!

First bookclub book for the new school year!

The first book we are reading is Ranger's Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan.  I just picked this up and am starting it so I am ready for the discussion.
