Rot and Ruin
Thursday, January 24, 2013
This is one of our Februay Book Club picks. I just finished it and I have to admit that this is my very first zombie book! I really enjoyed it to my suprise. The action isn't about surviving the zombie apocolypse, that happened 14 years ago. People have settled into enclaves and learned how to survive with the zombie outbreak. This book is about Benney who is turning fifteen and needs to find a job or have his food rations cut. He investigates a number of jobs that are not a remote possiblity, before trying to follow in his older brother's footsteps and become a zombie bounty hunter. What he learns when he ventures out in to the Rot & Ruin, as the zombie infested areas are know, will change everything that he thinks he knows about his world and the people in it.
There is an extra copy available in the IMC.
